New Balance & thisisneverthat Launch Trio of 550s
The New Balance 550 has been riding an unstoppable wave over the past few years and is gaining new momentum thanks to another exciting collaboration. New Balance and South Korean-based lifestyle brand, thisisneverthat, are teaming up once again to launch three new colorways for the classic 550s.
The sneaker draws inspiration from the combined textured washed canvas and black soles used in skateboarding and hiking shoes in the 1990s, evoking a sense of nostalgia. The unique color palette adds to the vintage feel, with the 550s available in a trio of lavender, brown, and green colorways.
New Balance
Each pair is constructed with a full upper canvas, includes a custom co-branded “thisisneverthat” tongue label, and has replaced shoelace holes with eyelets. Additionally, cracked leather has been added to the “N” logo.
Launching exclusively on thisisneverthat.com starting August 24, 2023, and globally on NewBalance.com starting September 7, 2023, the New Balance x thisisneverthat 550s will have a suggested retail price of $130 in adult sizes.
