From the author of one of my favorite books (hi, The Silent Patient), this thriller follows Lana Farrar, a reclusive ex-movie star, and her famous friends whose spontaneous trip to a private island is turned upside down by a murder. Told from the perspective of one of the friends, you may feel like you've heard this story before, but this game of cat and mouse is full of twists and turns.

Over time, the mother is sent ominous postcards that pose a real threat to the family and lead to a tragic realization.
