Swiss Steak Dinner, 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Beach City American Legion Hall Post 549, 125 Third Ave. NE. Drive-thru or carry-out only. The Ladies Auxiliary will pass out poppies. Meal includes three-bean salad, applesauce, mashed potatoes/homemade gravy, corn, bread and dessert for $12.

Buildings in the historic village will be open to tour. The Mishler Weaving Mill will feature live demonstrations of rug weaving using the vintage looms dating back to the 1860s. Free event. Bertram Floyd presents the African-American Civil War, From Auction Block to Glory 1779 -1870. Experience the: Laws,rhymes, politics, heroes, family life, soldier battles, and the United States Constitution.

Barbecued Ribs, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, held by Lodi Ruritan Club at Miller's Grocery Store. Cost is $14 for a full rack of ribs and $7 for half rack. Cash sales only. The club's most recent project is to provide a Brady security vest for Lodi police K-9 team member Dak.
