Many of today's most popular running shoe brands like Hoka and On have doubled down on their business by adding complementary lifestyle apparel to their footwear selection. Arc’Teryx did the opposite—the brand developed a cult following for their technical, waterproof jackets and gear and then a catalog of outdoor shoes to go with them. Typically $165, the Arc’Teryx Norvan LD 3 Trail Running Shoes are now available for $131—a 20% discount. The shoes have earned over 60 five-star ratings at REI from shoppers who say they're "so durable" for any terrain. Arc’teryx Norvan LD 3 Trail Running Shoes in Sprint/Black, $132 (was $165) at REI
The Norvan LD 3 trail runners come in a vibrant yellow or blue shade, a contrast from the typical earthy colors found on many hiking shoes. While the unique aesthetic is part of its appeal, the shoes are designed to perform. They feature Vibram outsoles, which are known for providing superior traction and durability. The mesh upper is breathable but abrasion-resistant, thanks to the Cordura fabric. The shoes also feature maximum cushioning for all-day comfort on day-long hikes (the "LD" stands for "long-distance"). Despite its cushioning, the sneakers have a lightweight build, and they’re a great option for off-trail, too.

This shoe is perfect for me. I still put an insert in, but there is room. The upper breathes well and has enough stretch to accommodate swollen feet.”
