From the archives – Saluting Naples moms on Mother's Day

Mother's Day is celebrated in the United States on the second Sunday in May, recognizing mothers, motherhood and maternal bonds in general, as well as their positive contributions to their families and society.

The day was established by Anna Jarvis, with the first official Mother’s Day celebrated through a service of worship at St. Andrew's Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia, on May 10, 1908.

We combed the Naples Daily News photo archives to find some photos celebrating mothers and Mother’s Day in Naples and the surrounding communities.

Happy Mother’s Day to al the moms out there.
