The actress' personal life

Outside of her successful career, Harmon married former NFL player Jason Sehorn in 2001, and the couple had three daughters together: Finley Faith (born in 2003), Avery Grace (born in 2005), and Emery Hope (born in 2008). Harmon and Sehorn later divorced in 2014.

Harmon is open about the struggles of raising her three kids as a single mom. "When it's just you, there's a different sort of survival set of skills that take over, you pay more attention to things that you wouldn't normally," Harmon, told People. "You are more aware of things that you wouldn't normally be."

She also talks about the many hats she wears. "I'm the protector and the provider and the nurturer. I'm all the things," she says. "It's just bizarre because I'm the one that changes the light bulbs in the 12-foot ceilings and I'm the one that carries the 60-lb bag of dog food from the grocery store to the car."

She also explains that life often takes people in a completely different direction. "You just imagine that your life is going to be one way and then it turns out to be another. Now I wouldn't have it any other way. I love the life that I've been blessed with, and I wouldn't have my daughters if I didn't have that marriage and all of that.”

When it comes to style, Harmon embraces her long hair. She told People, “I'm so thankful that I don't have a short age-appropriate haircut, because I like my hair." She also goes against trend by not embracing mom-jeans. Her daughters convinced her to try them, which she did, but quickly realized they weren’t for her. “My lifestyle is more appreciative of a boyfriend jean or a skinny jean," Harmon says, "I'm a boyfriend jean all day long — with a collared shirt. That's my signature."

When it comes to her health, Harmon is open about the changes she’s faced going through menopause and how her body doesn’t respond the way that it used to. “The workouts that you used to do, they don't work anymore. And I love salt so much, and I swear to God, if I even smell it, I wake up the next morning and my eyes are almost swollen, closed. My face is four times its size,” Harmon told People.  “I mean, I have to think about all of these things now that I didn't used to have to think about.” She says hot yoga helps keep her body in shape. She even jokingly says she’s will to try anything. Harmon quips, “At this point, it's like they told me to drink my own urine and I'm like, alright, well is it iced? Is it room temp? How are we doing this here? Let me know.”

Did you know? Harmon has a pet squirrel named Thomas. She often posts about him on social media. She also gets plenty of advice on how to raise him. "It's so funny because when something like this happens, all of a sudden, all your friends come out of the woodwork," she told People. "They're all squirrel experts. I'm like, 'I thought you were a vodka expert.'"
