Parenting is full of surprises — you never know what adorable (and disgusting) things your kids will come up with next. But one thing you can count on? Potty jokes will forever be the funniest thing to toddlers. Andy Cohen shared a hilarious video of his 5-year-old son Ben trying to teach his 23-month-old daughter Lucy a dirty word, and it proves kids are all the same.

“Greetings from Spring Break! ☀️” the Watch What Happens Live host captioned a new video on Instagram today. The selfie video is taken while Cohen drives, with his two kids having a conversation in the backseat.

“Lucy, say ‘poo poo,’” Ben says in the background of the video, as Cohen just shakes his head. Why must kids, you know?

Cohen tries to course correct, suggesting, “Lucy, say ‘Lucy.’” In the background, you can hear a firm and decisive, ‘No!’” Welp! This little girl isn’t going to let anyone tell her what to do.

“Dad, you don’t tell me what to say,” Ben chimes in, prompting Cohen to frown. “And Daddy,” Ben continues. “When in the world are we going to be at …?”

“At the museum?” Cohen finishes for him. Before he can answer, Ben gives this decree: “I don’t want to go to the museum.” Oh boy!

“It’s going to be fun,” Cohen tries. But it’s not going to work. “That we don’t take me there,” Ben insists.

“OK, well, you want me to just take Lucy?” Cohen asks.

“Yeah, just go back to our house,” Ben responds. Poor guy! He’s driving the struggle bus, apparently.

At this point, Lucy starts babbling from her seat. When Cohen addresses her, Lucy says, “Dada” over and over again. It’s adorable, but also slightly annoying. The Bravo TV host gets tired of answering her, “Yes, Lucy!” over and over again, so he asks Ben to teach her to say something else.

“Lucy, say ‘poo poo’” Ben says in the background, prompting Lucy to scream, “No!” And now we’ve come full circle!

Basically everyone could relate to this video. “😂 Parenting in a nutshell,” one person commented. “It’s only going to get worse, Andy, but so damn entertaining 🤭,” someone else warned.

“Iconic,” another wrote.

Ben turned 5 in February, and Andy gave a special shoutout to his eldest son during an episode of WWHL. “Despite the occasional tantrums that rivals me at a Jersey Housewives reunion, he couldn’t make me happier,” Cohen joked. He also shared five things he’s learned since becoming a dad.

“Breakfast food is a very loose concept. Turns out it’s just about putting something in your stomach,” he said. “No. 4 is learning Elsa is completely overrated. Anna is the star of Frozen. That’s Ben Cohen.”

Cohen also shared that Hot Wheels tracks are “next to impossible to keep fastened” and it’s OK to have more than one Halloween costume.

“And the No. 1 thing Ben taught me this year, and every year, is that you can find joy in just about anything,” Cohen added. “Happy birthday, buddy, I love you.”
