Another day, another cute athleisure dress to fall in love with. For the past few months, we’ve been reporting on how retailers like Target and Walmart are releasing so many cute active dresses and rompers; we can barely keep up. And now Aldi is dropping a new, simple-yet-stylish athleisure dress that rivals styles from Athleta and Lululemon (for a fraction of the price).

From May 29 through June 4, Aldi is selling the Crane Ladies Athleisure Dress in their Aldi Finds section for $14.99. The silhouette of this dress is pretty classic for an active dress; it’s a looser, A-line design. It not only has built-in shorts with two side phone pockets (gotta love the pockets!), but the shorts also have silicon grips on them so that they don’t ride up on you as you move around. This dress has some stylish seams on each hip and a trendy zip closure on the front that looks like a quarter or half zip.

Aldi’s athleisure dress comes in three solid colors: black, blue and pink. Unfortunately, not all sizes are available in all of the colors, though; sizes M-XL are available in the black and blue dress, and S-L are available in the pink one. As for the fabric breakdown of this workout dress, the outer layer is made with 81% polyamide and 19% Elastane, while the inner layer is made with 88% polyester and 12% elastane.

As stated before, this dress has a pretty classic workout dress design, so it’s no surprise that it rivals dresses from some popular athleisure brands. For one, it looks similar in design to the Grid-Texture Sleeveless Linerless Tennis Dress at Lululemon. That dress costs $128 and has the same silhouette and zip closure on the front as Aldi’s. The front lining is made from a mix of 86% recycled polyester and 14% elastane, with the body being 75% nylon and 25% elastane. The main difference to Aldi’s dress, though, is the fact that it is unlined—as its name says—meaning it doesn’t have built-in shorts. It also has a grid texture, whereas Aldi’s seems smooth.

Another dress that’s very similar is Athleta’s Break Point Dress. It’s usually $135 but is currently on sale for $89.99. It comes in two colors (bright white and Pacific blue) and sizes XXS through XL.

The Athleta dress has some more frills, like a tiered skirt and waistband seams. But the crew neck and front zip closure are very similar, along with the smooth material. This dress is made from 83% recycled polyester and 17% spandex. It’s also only semi-fitted, similar to the looser design of Aldi’s dress.

While there are merits to purchasing an expensive workout dress (especially if you’re an athlete), if you just want something comfortable and cute to move around in—whether for working out or hanging out—Aldi’s Crane Ladies Athleisure Dress is a good choice to check out this upcoming week.
