Aldi Is Selling a Cozy $15 Cotton Waffle Blanket So Similar to a Pottery Barn Style Over 7x The Price

No matter what season it is, there’s nothing like a good blanket to cozy up in. Whether it’s in front of a fire in the winter or on your patio in the summer, a soft blanket can do wonders for your comfort and overall well-being. And while we’re sure you can have too much of a good thing, can you really have too many blankets? If that’s your mindset, and/or if you're looking for a cotton waffle blanket for those cooler spring and summer nights, Aldi’s upcoming waffle blanket might need to be top of your shopping list. Plus it’s so similar to styles by Pottery Barn and Target (for a way more affordable price).
In Aldi’s upcoming Aldi Finds drop from April 17 through April 23, 2024, the popular discount grocery store will sell a Huntington Home Full/Queen or King Cotton Blanket for $14.99. It is indeed 100% cotton according to their site and comes in two sizes per its name: full/queen and king. It also comes in four colors: gray, green, coral (which looks more like a cream on their site) and white.

Aldi’s site says that this cotton blanket is “lightweight and breathable” and machine washable. And even though it’s not in its name, this blanket has a waffle weave pattern, which is a pretty sought-after texture and style of blanket. In fact, most other stores sell this type of blanket, in full/queen and king sizes for a lot more. The Waffle Weave Blanket from Pottery Barn, for instance, costs $109-$139, depending on what color you choose. Theirs is also not all cotton, but 50% cotton and 50% acrylic. And it’s OEKO-TEX certified, just like Aldi’s.

Another popular brand, Lands’ End, is selling its Cotton Waffle Weave Blanket for anywhere from $84.95 to $144.95. This one is 100% cotton with reinforced mitered corners and, of course, a waffle weave.

And lastly, there’s Target’s 100% Cotton 300GSM Solid Waffle Blanket from the brand Isla Jade. It’s currently $55.99 for a full/queen and $65.99 for a king and comes in so many colors. Like Aldi’s blanket, this one is 100% cotton, also described as “lightweight and breathable” and OEKO-TEX certified (meaning that when it was tested for harmful substances in its materials, it didn’t have any).

While Target is the closest in price to Aldi’s Huntington Home Full/Queen or King Cotton Blanket on this list, it’s still over three times the price. And while there are still cheaper options online, Aldi’s Huntington Home brand is pretty consistent with good quality products. And for almost $15, it’s truly a good deal for a soft, cotton blanket.
