Adventureland is celebrating its 50th season this year: How to get tickets, passes and more
Adventureland officials have a lot planned for the theme park's 50th celebration this year — calling it the most eventful season yet in a news release.
Here's everything you need to know about opening weekend, getting tickets and current sales.
When does Adventureland open?
Adventureland and Adventure Bay will be kicking off their 50th celebration in May.
The Altoona theme park opens May 18. Adventure Bay water park opens one week later on Saturday, May 25.
What will Adventureland's hours be for summer 2024?
During opening weekend Adventureland's park hours will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 18 and 19, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, May 20.
Park hours get a bit longer the next weekend, May 25 and 26, with the opening of Adventure Bay. The water park is open from noon to 6 p.m. all weekend and Memorial Day, May 27. Adventureland Park is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday.
Adventureland's theme park and water park hours vary, but a full calendar can be found on its website. During the summer the park opens at 11 a.m. and closes at 7 p.m. during the week, with varying extended hours on weekends and holidays.
Adventure Bay is open from noon to 6 p.m. during the week in the summer with varying extended hours for weekends and holidays as well.

Tickets and passes to Adventureland, Adventure Bay are available now
This summer you can get a platinum, gold, silver or bronze season pass to Adventureland. Varying from $69.99 to $209.99, all passes include unlimited 2024 admission.
Season passes are available for purchase at adventurelandresort.com, where you can also compare perks. Single-day tickets are available online for $44.99 if you pick a specific day or for $69.99 for any day of the 2024 season. Children 3 and under receive free admission.
Adventureland opening sale and season pass sale
For a limited time, visitors can get a bronze season pass online for $69.99, the price of a single day. The pass includes 2024 summer admission for the park and waterpark.
The 2024 opening sale offers $30 off the 2024 silver season pass, which includes unlimited 2024 admission, including summer, Oktoberfest and Fall Fest, 50% off parking, one free guest ticket, and food and drink discounts for $139.99 online.
What new can fans expect at Adventureland in 2024?
The new season coincides with the reopening of The Underground, the park's unique indoor wooden rollercoaster.
Parkgoers can also look forward to new events this season including Bernie's Birthday Bash in June and the Festival of Decades. There will also be weekly fireworks shows for the entire month of July.
Country music festival Ruckus, previously known as the River Ruckus and held in Guthrie County, moves to Adventureland this year in July.
