7th Annual Buy Local Spring Fling kicked off in Scranton

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Dozens of people descended upon downtown Scranton for some crafty shopping.

The Scranton Cultural Center was the place to be for the seventh Annual Buy Local Spring Fling marketplace.

More than 65 vendors filled the building and offered everything from handmade crafts and custom tee-shirts to jewelry and wine.

Residents concerned after Luzerne mine subsidence

The event benefits the Scranton Cultural Center and is growing in size each year.

“I think people have picked up hobbies that they’re trying to turn into viable cash flow options, so it’s just a great time to support businesses like this,” said Scranton Cultural Center Marketing Manager Rachael Fronduti.

FNCB Bank and LT Verrastro sponsored Sunday’s marketplace which was supported by Lackawanna County and PA Council on the Arts.
