Since Stuart Vevers took the helm as creative director of Coach in 2013, he’s been able to imbue new life and vitality into the 75-year-old American heritage brand. This season’s fall/winter 2017 collection continues to play off of the British designer’s approach to injecting a cool and edgy sensibility into the household label.
Coach’s signature shearling jackets, leather moto jackets, bohemian-style dresses, and of course highly coveted leather bags were all firmly present in this collection inspired by New York City meets the prairie.
Here are the Top 5 things you need to know about the Coach fall/winter 2017 show.

The Front Row: Celebrity attendees ranged from Selena Gomez and Drew Barrymore to Emma Roberts and Sarah Snyder (ex of Jaden Smith). Gomez sat front row alongside Vogue’s editor in chief, Anna Wintour. Gomez’s presence at the show was to be expected, considering the recent announcement that the 24-year-old celebrity would become the new face of Coach.

The Scene: Upon walking into the man-made tent situated off of Pier 76 adjacent to the Hudson River, guests were presented with the façade of a dilapidated, wooden house on an empty prairie flatland. There was a soft orange-colored “sunset.”
The Playlist: The first song was “1975” by the Smashing Pumpkins. As the lyrics “Shakedown 1979/Cool kids never have the time” blared over the speakers, models from Coach’s past and present, including Adwoa Aboah [above], Binx Walton, Lexi Boling, and Winnie Harlow walked the prairie runway.
The Killer Bag: This adorable red mini bag embossed with an array of ducks is the Rogue 17 bag. It’s fresh off of the runway and available for purchase online now. This bag is one of several mini bags embossed with whimsical prints, including flowers, ducks, dinosaurs, and cherries.
The Takeaway: Coach continues its stride as the cool, urban kid on the block with a little country heart inside. We’re already coveting the shearling baseball caps and innumerable mini bags that were spotted throughout the collection. Is it fall yet?
