Costco’s bakery is known for its diverse, satisfying, and high-quality products, including breads, cakes and pies (and mini cakes), muffins, pound cakes and loaves, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, cookies, and other desserts. However, its baked breads made fresh and in-house are one of the most coveted, popular, and versatile items to choose from.

And, Redditors seem to have some pretty strong opinions about which bread loaves at Costco are top-notch and worth buying, as well as a few tips on how they like to use and enjoy them. These are some of the best Costco bakery breads of the bunch, based on customer feedback from Reddit.

Roasted Garlic Parmesan Bread

While pricey ($7.99 a loaf), Redditors agree: it’s worth every buck. One Reddit user wrote, “Parmesan cheese and garlic is a good combo. Tear off chunks and dip in a good olive oil for extra fun! Extra points if you have some mozzarella cheese, too.” Bakery employee and Reddit user Impossibleish said it’s “dense” with “whole (small) cloves of roasted garlic throughout,” and suggested slicing thin and toasting it. “Add a pesto or balsamic mayo. Sliced tomato or roasted red peppers, and fresh mozz slices. Maybe some fresh julienned basil or prosciutto or bacon,” the user said. It's also great enjoyed with soup, like tomato or roasted red pepper bisque.

Ciabatta

Many Redditors consider the classic ciabatta bread at Costco’s bakery to be their favorite and all around go-to staple at home. Redditor geezlouiseDC wrote in the thread, “Ciabatta rolls make the best grilled cheese (even better with bacon IMHO).” The user added, “I just noticed that in my bakery these are now pre-sliced—a welcome change in recent months,” advising to wrap leftover rolls and freeze for later use. “I also use these for toast—great bread,” the user said.

Country French Bread

In a Reddit thread, users discussed their love for the very simple, but oh-so delicious Country French Bread from Costco’s bakery. Redditor alaraja commented, “A must buy every trip.
