Three-year-old Adrian is a lot like his mother: a free thinker, a hard worker, and helpful.

“The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” Yassha Henderson tells Yahoo Lifestyle when asked how she felt when she saw Adrian’s first school picture. “I thought, ‘Really?! Only my child would do this.'”

Adrian, who always wants to help his mother with the laundry and cooking, even at such a young age, had a totally unique pose for his school photo. Instead of your typical shot, “he decided that he didn’t want to face forward,” Henderson explains. Who can’t relate to that? School photos are stressful!

Plenty of Henderson’s friends on Facebook have found the humor in it as well. Tiara Thornton wrote, “[I] am at work in tears! [You] gotta buy those and send them as the Christmas card.”

Ellaine Page explained, “I was there when they took his picture. I was helping them but Adrian [turned] around on us,” along with a few laughing emojis.

When one commenter asked why Adrian didn’t turn around, Henderson wrote back, “Because he’s my child!!”

Henderson allows her son to have fun, but says she wants to make sure, above all, that he grows up to be a good person. “I want him to be genuine, kind,” she says. “I want him to be a caring human being.”
