2 NYC beaches among best in US: Travel + Leisure

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Two beaches in New York City are among the best in the United States, according to Travel + Leisure.

Rockaway Beach in Queens and Coney Island Beach in Brooklyn made the travel magazine’s list of 25 of the best beaches in the country.

The list included beaches on the East Coast, West Coast, and between.

Asbury Park Beach on the Jersey Shore also made Travel + Leisure’s list of best beaches. Ocean City in Maryland, North Beach, Tybee Island in Georgia, and Clearwater Beach, Florida, were also among the East Coast picks.

On the West Coast, four beaches in California made the list. Harris Beach in Oregon and Glass Beach, Port Townsend in Washington were also featured.
