Right on time for summer, Gap has tapped Dôen to create a high-style capsule that melds ’90s classics with California-casual elegance. A year in the making, the collection is defined by timeless khaki, sweet floral prints, and indigo denim, with elevated twists on warm weather staples at Gap’s affordable price points.

This latest collaboration for Gap marks it’s long-awaited resurgence into the fashion lexicon, as revered by nostalgic fan accounts like @gapplaylists on Instagram that looks back at the brand’s in-store playlists and pioneering campaign imagery from 1992 to 2006. Dôen, the celeb-loved label worn by the likes of Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Kaia Gerber, and Kylie Jenner, is known for its romantic signatures like puff-sleeves, smocked tops, and vintage-inspired eyelets designed for the modern woman. Its soft and minimalist aesthetic, married with Gap’s timeless POV, results in a line of versatile pieces for summer, from frilly frocks, to on-trend denim staples, and chic canvas tote bags.
All of Gap X Dôen’s offerings — amounting to a whopping 51-piece collection — seamlessly complete a curated summer wardrobe, where you can easily pair the Floral Midi Dress with the canvas ballet flats for a sunny weekend outing, or team the scalloped collar Big Shirt and contemporary wide-leg Khaki Trousers in a relaxed-yet-refined, office-appropriate ensemble. The collection also features laid-back collectors items stamped in the collaboration logo, like the navy baseball hat or cotton crewneck, which are practically begging to be worn beach-side or under a fireworks show.
The collaboration’s campaign, which stars Lily and Ruby Aldridge, celebrates eternal sisterhood and female empowerment as an homage to Dôen’s founding duo. “The fusing of our feminine nostalgia with their minimal ’90s nostalgia was an exciting design proposition and fun to work on,” said Katherine Kleveland on the new collection, who founded the contemporary label with her sister Margaret in 2016. “It’s been a dream to watch our collections, so rooted in nostalgia and femininity, reimagined through the classic Gap lens.”
