10th Celebrations of Heroes Graduation and Gala held in ABQ
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A local nonprofit honored the veterans in the community and the dogs by their side.
Paws and Stripes hosted the 10th Celebration of Heroes Graduation and Gala this weekend at the Sheraton Uptown in Albuquerque.

The event honored the veteran and service dog teams that completed the year-long training program.
Organizers of the event said the graduation is proof of the non-profit’s mission at work, improving the lives of the vets and rescue dogs they pair together.
Paws and Stripes has provided services to roughly 300 people since being founded in 2010.
