These 3-Ingredient Cookie Truffles Are Insanely Simple (and Delicious)

It’s a universally accepted fact that chocolate truffles are great. Truffles made with your favorite cookies? Even better. But for some, the truffle-making process is a more daunting task than they’d like to take on. That’s where this insanely easy recipe comes in.

We’re talking 3 ingredients, people. That’s right — just store-bought cookies, cream cheese, and chocolate.

In this video from Buzzfeed, follow these quick and easy steps to making cookie truffles that your friends will go wild for.

To start, select your favorite store brand cookies — Oreos, chocolate chip, nutter butters: you name it — and blend them in a food processor or high-power blender until they reach a powder consistency.

Once you have your cookie crumbles, use your hands to mix in a bar of cream cheese. This might get a little messy, but it’ll be oh-so-worth it in the end.

Then, take your mixture and roll it into truffle-sized balls before lining them up on a pan covered in wax paper. Stick those in the freezer for 15 minutes while you melt your chocolate chips until creamy.

When ready, use a fork to dip your cooled cookie balls in the chocolate, rolling them around until fully coated. Line them back up on the wax paper and top with the whatever your heart desires.

Allow the truffles to cool for 15 minutes, and then they’re all ready to serve to guests — or just to hoard for yourself. But fair warning: Research shows they probably won’t stick around for long.
