Ever dream of scoring a free ride to one of the top culinary schools in the country? If so, Rachael Ray may have your ticket.

The TV personality and celebrity chef just announced a “Tuition Competition” that carries a grand prize worth a sweet $41,500. It includes free tuition for either the six-month day or nine-month night Professional Culinary Arts Program at the International Culinary Center in New York City AND a five-night culinary vacation at Finest Playa Mujeres resort in Cancun, Mexico. The top three finalists also get a boatload of Rachael Ray cookware worth $1,670.
“This is huge! What are you waiting for, people?” says the ever upbeat Ray on the video promo just posted on RachaelRay.com. “Get cooking!”

From now until the March 23 deadline, contestants (21 years and older) have to submit a video, no longer than five minutes, that shows them cooking their favorite recipe. Entrants must also explain in the video (remember, this part’s as important as showing off skills) why attending culinary school will change their life, provide a truly transformative experience, and help give them a fresh start.

“Tell us about what you’re doing now and why going to culinary school would be a life-changing experience for you,” Ray says. Contestants must be amateurs who have not been paid to cook on a regular basis in the past 5 years and who have not previously enrolled or graduated from an accredited culinary or pastry program. Here are all the rules and regulations.

The top three finalists will battle it out in May in Ray’s New York City studio where the winner will walk away with the crown and a whole lot more.
