When she’s not working as a medical sonographer, Meriem Kouar documents her cooking skills—of which she has manyon Culinary Couture. Kouar launched the blog when she was 17, and now she’s 24—that’s seven years of cakes, cookies, and, savory dishes from her family’s native Algeria.

For this three-layer blue ombré cake, Kouar layers buttermilk cake with instant vanilla pudding. After creating blue-colored buttercream frosting in multiple shades, she ices in small doses (it’s quite a project!).
