You can’t have Halloween with some kind of tribute to one of the spookiest movie makers of our time, Tim Burton. This drink is a shout out to Burton’s 2005 movie.

Ice
3 tablespoons gin
1 tablespoon St. Germain
1 oz lemon juice
Splash of Curacao
1 egg white, shaken

Shake ice, gin, St. Germain, lemon juice, and Curacao in a cocktail shaker. Strain and pour the mixture and into a champagne coupe or martini glass.

Shake egg whites separately (48 times). Pour on top.

Maybe you need a bit of zing to get you through this Halloweekend! Well I’ve got a delicious play on the White Russian, that might just make your day. Added note: this tastes like chocolate milk. All hail the pure bliss of chocolate perfection!

2 oz coffee liqueur
2 oz stout beer
Splash of whole milk
1 large round ice cube

Mix together the coffee liqueur and stout beer in short tumbler glass. Drop in the large round ice cube (made with a mold like this one) and add a splash of whole milk.

Akasha

What would Halloween be without a nod to a classic, but always beautiful, spook, Akasha the Vampire. If you aren’t familiar with Anne Rice (where have you been?), Akasha is known as the “Queen of the Damned.” She is the first vampire created in the famous Anne Rice Vampire series. *Side note: Aaliyah played Akasha in the 2002 film, Queen of the Damned – that means this vamp has serious class!

This cocktail is a spin a classic, The Cosmopolitan. Instead of the typical cranberry juice, we use Pomm juice to get that beautiful, blood red color.

Ice
1 oz lime juice
1 ½ oz citron vodka
1 oz pomegranate juice
½ oz Cointreau
1 oz canola oil
Red food dye
Pomegranate seeds

Shake ice, lime juice, vodka, pomegranate juice, and Cointreau in a cocktail shaker and pour into a martini glass.

To garnish, mix canola oil and food dye and dip rim of glass along the red oil. Add a few pomegranate seeds and serve.
