Spiced Pumpkin Punch
Serves 6-8

Transform a hollowed out pumpkin into a festive punch bowl for your Halloween bash. A combination of pumpkin puree, whiskey, and spiced milk comes together for a fall-inspired punch.

¾ cup evaporated milk
½ cup granulated sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon, plus more to garnish
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 6-8 pound medium sized pumpkin, low and wide with a flat bottom
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 cup rice milk
1 cup whiskey
8 dashes angostura bitters
Ice
Cinnamon sticks, to garnish

In a small saucepan, add the evaporated milk and sugar. Simmer on medium-low heat until the sugar dissolves, about 3-4 minutes. Turn the heat to low and whisk in the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg. Simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, making sure the mixture does not boil. Remove from the heat, mix in vanilla extract and strain through a sieve. Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature.

Using a serrated knife, cut off the top one-fourth of the pumpkin. Scoop out innards and seeds with a large spoon. Dry the pumpkin interior with paper towels. In the pumpkin bowl, combine spiced milk syrup, pumpkin puree, rice milk, whiskey, and bitters. Stir until combined and serve over ice. Garnish each glass with a cinnamon stick and pinch of ground cinnamon.
