Tracy Morgan Says He “Out-Ate” Ozempic After 40-Pound Weight Gain

Tracy Morgan reveals that he’s gained 40 pounds despite using Ozempic, joking that he “out-ate” the weight loss medicine, despite its intended use being to minimize one’s appetite.

During an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Morgan was complimented on his appearance, which he credited to Ozempic. He previously revealed he’d been prescribed the medication in 2023. However, the comedian admitted that he’s actually put on weight since last year, as his body has seemingly adjusted to the medicine.

“Yeah, but I’ve learned to eat — I’ve out-ate Ozempic,” the New York native told Fallon. He continued, “I gained 40 pounds. Absolutely. I’m like Magic Johnson, I gained 40 pounds,” eliciting laughs from the studio audience.

Morgan’s latest comments regarding Ozempic are in contrast to prior remarks the 55-year-old made about the medication during an interview on Today with Hoda & Jenna in 2023. When asked about his seemingly slimmer physique, the comedian credited Ozempic with helping him alter his diet.

“No, that’s Ozempic,” Tracy told the hosts. “That’s how this weight got lost… I went and got a prescription and I got Ozempic. And I ain’t letting it go!”

Adding that he takes the medicine “every Thursday,” Morgan quipped that it “cuts [his] appetite in half,” to the point he can only stomach “a half a bag of Doritos” at the time.

Tracy Morgan isn’t the only entertainer to be linked to Ozempic, as Oprah, Khloe Kardashian, and others have spoken about implementing the medicine into their weight loss regimen.
