We’re pretty sure it’s written in stone somewhere that grandmothers get to spoil their grandbabies and parents are helpless to stop it. When that grandmother is Tina Knowles, not only will those kids be spoiled, they’ll probably be creative geniuses who deliver game-changing art.

During an appearance on Monday’s “Today with Hoda & Jenna,” Knowles discussed how much she loves being a grandmother to Solange’s 19-year-old son Daniel, Beyoncé’s 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy and 6-year-old twins Rumi and Sir. She seems to enjoy having all the fun with her grandchildren, while her daughters deal with the consequences of that fun.

“It’s the best. With grandkids you don’t have the pressure of taking responsibility for how they get to turn out, so you get to just indulge them and let them have noisy toys that drive their parents crazy,” Knowles said. “It’s just the best. They are the best. My grandkids are all super creative and I just love them to death.”

When Hoda wondered what they call her, Tina replied, “They call me grandma.”

With parents like Solange, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, music is bound to run in the family, with the kids learning from the best in the world. Tina explained that they’re completely supportive of all this kids’ artistic endeavors, whether they end up the family business or not.

“We’re watching but you know, they still have a lot of time. They’re all super great artists, like visual artists, and very smart,” Knowles said. “We don’t know what’s gonna happen. Whatever they want to do, we support that.”

During her recent trip to the Kentucky Derby, Miss Tina gushed about her grandbabies, telling everyone how creative Rumi is with visual arts and how smart Sir is when it comes to math.

You just know Miss Tina is the kind of grandma who loves spoiling her babies, but they also don’t get anything by her. She’s definitely got an eye on everything.
