Things to do: Engines will roar and dirt will fly Saturday at Muskingum County Speedway

DRESDEN — Buckle up and get ready for a summer of racing at the Muskingum County Speedway. Opening night of racing is scheduled for Saturday. On tap for the evening are 410 sprints, late models, modifieds, 604 late models, and 4-cylinders. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for children ages 6 to 12. Pit passes are also available for adults for $40 and $20 for those 12 and unde. Pit gate opens at 1 p.m. and stands open at 3 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. with a green flag for racing at 6 p.m. For more information call the speedway at 740-891-8789. Off-Road Scavenger Hunt

ZANESVILLE — Get down and dirty with a day full of fun during the third annual Off-Road Scavenger Hunt. Attendees are welcome to bring their buggies and search for prizes. The event is scheduled to begin at noon on Saturday. Those who choose to participate must sign a waiver before riding. Riders are scheduled to end the day by 6 p.m. There is a $20 fee to participate. Highland cows visit winery

DRESDEN — Join Pfarr Farms at Killing Tree Winery as they bring some of the most adorable bovines you may ever see. The farm will have its Scottish Highland cows will be at the winery to visit with guests. Photos can be taken with the cows for $20. Bring the kids and let them make a Highland cow craft as you enjoy a beverage. The event is scheduled to run from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 at the winery. Live music and vintage baseball

NORWICH − Zane Grey Family Day is back for another year. The annual event at the National Road-Zane Grey Museum includes live music, vintage baseball with the Ohio Village Muffins, and a vendor event.

Kids activities will be going on such as passport to fishing and many others. Concessions will be also available. Admission is by donation for the event slated for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Dancing for dogs and kids

ZANESVILLE −Join the Newton Township Fire Department and make an impact on child's life. Attendees can dance the night away at an adult prom. Cost is $30 per person or $50 for a couple. All proceeds from the event will go to WAGS 4 Kids, an organization that provides service dogs to children with disabilities. The fire department is located at 5490 Maysville Pike. Tickets are available at eventbrite.
