Dinner cabaret

The Chordial Barbershop Chorus will celebrate 20 years at the annual dinner cabaret. Additionally, the evening will feature Popular Demand, Four Flats, The Loves and Brothers. The Coshocton High School Choir will perform as the special guest for the evening. Hear favorite hits from the last 20 years of barbershop from Chordial Chorus. Tickets for the show are $25 and reservations are required. All reservations must be made by Tuesday. The show is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. April 27 in the Stop Nine Church of Christ Youth Center. Name that tune

Think you can name every song out there? Head to Wings, Etc. in Caldwell to test that theory. Wings, Etc. Grill and Pub is launching a team version of Name That Tune on Thursdays at the restaurant. This weekly event will run from 7 to 9 p.m. Get your team lined up as the competition is sure to be fierce. For more information call 740) 305-5168. Nostalgic concert

Head north to the Ohio Star Theater to be taken back in time musically. The theater will present Ricky Nelson Remembered at 7 p.m. Friday. The show will feature the late Ricky Nelson’s twin sons, Matthew and Gunnar, performing his hit songs and will include big-screen video footage of the Nelson. Amphibian-Palooza

Have a kiddo who is obsessed with all things amphibian? Head to the McGraw Edison Recreation Area for a day full of fun. Guests will join Michelle Illing with the Muskingum Valley Park District and Nicole Hafer-Lipstreu to learn about frogs, toads, newts and more. Come out and explore the vernal pools and waterways of the area and learn about the local ecology. The event will be rain or shine and guests are encouraged to wear waterproof gear. A limited number of containers and nets will be supplied to aid in the observations, but guests are welcome to bring their own, The day is scheduled to run from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 at the McGraw Edison Recreation Area located at 6165 Park Lane in Zanesville.

Dance class

Get out and shake your rump at Downtown Arena. Join DJ Mike in the upstairs lounge as he leads a dance class to get you all ready for the summer. No pre-registration is required; just show up and have a good time. The class costs $5 for kids and $10 for adults The class will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m. For more information call 740-439-9037.
