Stephen Colbert Slams Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop for Endorsing Pricey Wellness Stickers

Stephen Colbert went after Gwyneth Paltrow‘s Goop blog again on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. In the past, the actress’s blog has recommended such things as a $15,000 sex toy and $125,000 dumbbells — with emphasis on the dumb. But her latest recommendation for energizing Body Vibes stickers, with out-of-this-world claims, really irked the comedian.

The blog claims the stickers rebalance the energy frequency in our bodies. It also says that they are “made with the same conductive carbon material NASA uses to line spacesuits so they can monitor an astronaut’s vitals during wear.” According to multiple articles, NASA does not use conductive carbon material in their spacesuits.

The sticker company substantiates its energizing claim by saying, “If you tap a fork and then hold this near another fork, it will also oscillate at the same frequency. The theory is that your cells can do the same thing when using our smart stickers.” Colbert responded to that by saying, “So what Goop is saying is: Buy these stickers and you can fork yourself.”

The sticker prices range from $60 for 10 to to $120 for 24. But good luck getting them — according to the website, they are completely sold out.

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
