Sisqó Explains Why He Didn’t Take Legal Action Against Impersonator Who Booked Overseas Gig

Sisqó remembers catching an impersonator in real-time, and why he opted not to sue.
The 45-year-old explained how the unnamed person booked a gig to perform out of the country using his likeness. Thankfully for the singer, the show did not go as planned.
“They was about to get paid”, shared the Unleash The Dragon performer with Page Six. “They were getting on a private jet for the event to go overseas.”
He continued to detail how the fake Sisqó was exposed by having their real identity on their passport, which was reviewed as they attempted to board the aircraft. Although the R&B singer likely had enough evidence to take the imposter to court, he opted to let it be. After all, the person was unable to travel, complete the performance, or get paid.
“It kind of looked like a melted Sisqó, but I could, I could sue,’ explained the “Thong Song” creator. “Once I found out that it was like, some kid from Baltimore, I just dropped it.”
The Dru Hill member spoke to the tabloid after his elimination on Wednesday (April 3) from The Masked Singer. He remained a contender through the current 11th season until the series’ group three finals. When speaking with Page Six, Sisqó explained his decision to take the costumed stage.
“It seemed at least once a season or every out of the season, somebody would guess that one of the contestants was me,” he shared after detailing that his wife, Elizabeth Pham, and their two kids — Ryu Andrews and Kimiqo Star — are fans of the show.
“So they were like, you know, ‘When are you going on there?’”Sisqó explained. He continued to elaborate that he joked with his family, “I didn’t get the call. It’s [been] 20 years. They probably think I’m not alive no more.”
