Selena Gomez Just Nailed Casual Date Night in a Red Leather Trench

Selena Gomez has officially made the case for making the leather trench the coat of the spring.

While sitting courtside at a Knicks game with her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, the Only Murders in the Building actress sported a sleek look for the casual date night. She wore a black ensemble, consisting of a chic black midi skirt and knee-high black leather snake print boots. To pull the look together, she topped it all off with a daring deep red trench. Finally, she wore an ultra sleek low bun, a pair of chunky gold earrings and a swipe of lipstick to match her trench coat.

Gomez is only the latest celeb to step out in an ultra cool leather trench — earlier this month, Dua Lipa donned a green leather trench, while Kendall Jenner recently opted for a dark maroon variation. In fact, according to Queer Eye’s Tan France recently told InStyle leather “coats that go all the way down to the floor” are the trend for spring this year.

While Gomez's chic leather look hinged on simiplicity and modern elegance, Blanco went for something a little more colorful, opting for a white floral shirt, a pair of bright blue and red floral pants and brown leather loafers. This latest couple's look offers a distinct echo of their first appearance as a couple back in January — back then, the couple once again opted for leather for her, florals for him.

The official New York Knicks Instagram account posted a photo and video clip of the couple, writing, "Hottest seat in town". In the video, the couple can be seen smiling and cuddling as the watch the game.

This comes after one of Gomez's friends spoke up about the "serious" relationshi. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the source said that "friends and family love Benny [Blanco] and his loved ones feel the same about her" and "everyone can see that they have a loving relationship and both sides couldn't be more encouraging."
