Who Is Rumored New RHONY Housewife Racquel Chevremont?

The latest Real Housewives of New York Season 15 rumors have the entire Season 14 reboot cast returning. Allegedly, they’ll be joined by two new additions. One of the rumored new RHONY Housewives is Racquel Chevremont.

The rumor began on Twitter. Of course, this doesn’t mean it’s a guarantee. There was another tweet claiming that RHONY alums Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, and Luann de Lesseps would rejoin the show. By now, that rumor seems to have been debunked.

While nothing’s been confirmed, I think Racquel would be a perfect fit for the show. Everything we know about her presents the image of an ideal RHONY cast member. Especially for the reboot era, which attempts to fix some missteps and oversights of the previous seasons. Read on below to find out why I’m here for this rumored casting.

She’s friends with Jenna Lyons

Perhaps Racquel’s casting ensured that Jenna Lyons would stay on for another season? After Jenna skipped BravoCon and made various comments about her uncertainty about coming back, many assumed she was a one-and-done.

Racquel and Jenna’s friendship goes back years. For instance, the above photo was taken at a 2018 event. Judging by Jenna’s frequent comments on Racquel’s Instagram posts, they’re still going strong.

A common complaint about RHONY Season 14 is that none of the Housewives were genuinely friends. This was different than the previous cast, many of whom had long histories with each other. Hopefully, adding someone with a pre-existing connection to a cast member will make Season 15 feel more genuine.

Sai shows her love on social media

Another RHONY reboot star rumored to be one-and-done also loves Racquel. Sai de Silva frequently comments on Racquel’s Instagram posts.

Sai emerged as the villain on RHONY Season 14. So, if Racquel does join the cast, we’ll see if that love remains. As Season 14 viewers know, Racquel can avoid being on Sai’s bad side with adequate catering.

A true New Yorker

Racquel was born and raised in New York City. She also attended NYU for college. Additionally, she lived in Paris for a time. And she had a home in Connecticut, aka the state where Ubah Hassan’s boyfriend lives.

She’s a force in the art world

Racquel is a renowned curator and collector in the New York City art world. Architectural Digest recently spotlighted her in a feature as one of the Black collectors moving the art world forward.

Art is a huge part of NYC society, so, surprisingly, RHONY hasn’t featured it more in previous seasons. And Racquel is a well-known entity in that space. Especially within her previous romantic and professional relationships.

Formerly half of a NYC power couple

Previously, Racquel was engaged to collaborator Mickalene Thomas. The duo, known as Deux Femme Noirs, were an art world power couple.

Mickalene is an incredibly accomplished artist and photographer. During their relationship, Racquel was regarded as Mickalene’s muse. A painting of her, titled “Racquel: Come To Me”, hangs in The Whitney.

The couple received major press coverage, with features in Elle and Interview Magazine. However, they called off the engagement in 2022. Their breakup was reported on by Page Six.

What makes Racquel an exciting RHONY star is that she’s a force in both the art world and the fashion world of the city. Like Ubah, Racquel is a model. She began modeling in the 90s, appearing in ad campaigns for Bobbi Brown and Fila. She continues to this day and is still very involved in high fashion. For instance, Racquel is a regular at New York and Paris Fashion Weeks. According to her Instagram, Racquel recently returned to the runway and to model for NYC brand Batsheva.

Racquel is also incredibly stylish. Fashion is surely something she’s bonded with Jenna over. She could connect with Jessel Taank, also a notably stylish Bravo star, over it as well.

She’s a mom

Racquel has two children, Corey and Elle, who occasionally appear on her Instagram.

Sex & The City connection

In addition to art and fashion, Racquel also works in film and television. She even had a hand in the SATC sequel series And Just Like That. On the HBO series, Racquel curated the art collection of Lisa Todd Wexley, one of the standout new characters. In an interview with Town & Country about the pieces she chose, Racquel spoke about the importance of representation.

Racquel also curated the art collection of Mahershala Ali’s character in the 2023 film Leave The World Behind. Previously, she worked on the hit series Empire.

Her curation work in this industry helps to spotlight Black artists and photographers. If she does appear on RHONY, that would also be a great platform to do so.
