Jack Perry is reportedly set to return to AEW in the near future.

Former FTW Champion Jack Perry has been absent from AEW since All In 2023, where he was involved in a backstage incident with CM Punk. Perry was subsequently suspended from the company. Perry appeared at NJPW Battle in the Valley in January. He then regularly worked with the company over the next few months. Most recently, he lost to Shota Umino at NJPW Battle in the Valley.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer wrote that it is believed that Windy City Riot marked Perry’s last appearance with NJPW. Meltzer stated that his AEW return was imminent.

Perry has been in the spotlight ever since AEW aired the footage of his incident with Punk on AEW Dynamite. The Young Bucks and Tony Khan have spoken highly of Perry in recent interviews.

Young Bucks Praise Jack Perry

The Young Bucks believe that Jack Perry is ready to take that step to the next level. In an interview wth Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Nicholas Jackson noted that Perry needed something controversial to happen to open people’s eyes.

“He’s been the next breakout star for a while now, and he just needed something controversial to happen to him to open people’s eyes,” Nicholas Jackson said. “It happened with us early on in our careers, too.”

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
