Report: Hilaria Baldwin Won’t Be Joining Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Bravo has not released an official statement on the news. However, reports say that Hilaria Baldwin will not join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14.

Rumors circulated around Alec Baldwin’s wife all thanks to Kyle Richards. In a March interview, Kyle said that Hilaria would be her “dream” castmate on Beverly Hills. Since then, reports about Hilaria’s potential future with Bravo circulated like wildfire.

As one source at the time reported, “Hilaria is terrified of losing all the attention she’s gained as the wife of a Hollywood star if he’s away in prison. This would be the perfect fit.” Now, new reports suggest that Bravo didn’t feel the same about this “perfect fit.”

Does RHOBH need Hilaria?

On April 18, The Daily Mail reported that Hilaria would not be joining RHOBH. The news outlet reported that multiple Bravo insiders said there was “no truth” to the rumors surrounding Alec Baldwin’s wife. However, given the recent cast shake-ups in Beverly Hills, it wasn’t hard to believe the rumors in the first place.

Annemarie Wiley being dismissed from the Housewives franchise wasn’t too surprising. Very few viewers warmed up to Annemarie over her time on the show. Crystal Kung Minkoff’s firing was more shocking, especially since Crystal had a great showing in Season 13. Compared to the general fan opinion around Annemarie, Crystal was flying high.

If readers take The Daily Mail at their word, that means RHOBH is still in need of some new cast members. Well, one supposes, anyway. In theory, Season 14 could operate with just five returning Housewives. But the assumed goal in a cast shakeup is to increase viewership. Odds are, we’re in for more cast announcements in the coming days.
