Rebel Wilson Reveals Daughter Royce's First — and Now Favorite - Word: 'It Melts My Heart' (Exclusive)

The actress' 16-month-old daughter joins her mom for her first, exclusive photo shoot with PEOPLE
Rebel Wilson's daughter Royce is her mom's number one fan.
In an interview and exclusive photo shoot with PEOPLE before the release of her book Rebel Rising: A Memoir, the actress, 44, shared that her daughter Royce, 16 months, had already hit a few major milestones, including saying her first word.
"It shocks me how much she melts my heart," Wilson tells PEOPLE. "And when says, 'Mama?' Lately that's her new favorite word. And that was her first word ever. It just, it melts you and you're like, 'Aw.'"
"I thought I would be a strict parent, but apparently I'm the opposite," the comedian adds.

Reflecting on how her surrogate got pregnant after using Wilson's "last viable embryo," the star shares how much of a "miracle" it was when she met her newborn daughter.
"She opens her eyes, and she looks at us. We're a family now. I'm 42 years old and I have a baby," Wilson says. "I'm a mother. It's a bloody miracle."
Wilson co-parents her daughter with fiancée Ramona Agruma.
In January, the family of three shared a few sweet photos on Instagram as they celebrated New Year's Day together. Wearing matching beige outfits, Wilson and Agruma smiled together as they walked through a backyard while Royce giggled.
"2024’s already GREAT! 😘," Wilson captioned the carousel of pictures.
In November, the trio celebrated Royce's first birthday together, with Wilson sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the festivities. The post showed the baby girl's party, which was filled with lots of colorful decorations and treats.
In one clip, the birthday girl — wearing in a pink dress, gold fairy wings and a first birthday bib — squealed and clapped with excitement as her mom cooed, "Happy birthday, Roycieeee!"
In August, Wilson adorably declared to PEOPLE that 2023 was the "Year of Family" as she and Agruma settled into parenthood and looked forward to tying the knot together.
“We are building our family unit and working on how we do things as a new little family," she said, adding that the best part of her day is spending time with her daughter after work.
"I throw Royce up in the air until she giggles, I tickle her and I help put her to bed. She just melts my heart," she shared.
