Pentatonix Singer Kirstin Maldonado Marries Ben Hausdorff in Texas Wedding Ceremony: 'This Is It' (Exclusive)

The couple tied the knot on April 21 in front of 175 guests including Maldonado's bandmates Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kevin Olusola and Matt Sallee
Kirstin Maldonado and Ben Hausdorff have said “I do!”
The Pentatonix singer, 31, and the videographer and director, 32, tied the knot on April 21 at D'Vine Grace Vineyard in McKinney, Texas.
“I just think a wedding is so special because when are all those people going to be in the same room and celebrating [again]? It’s all your favorite people all together,” Maldonado tells PEOPLE of the big day, which featured her fellow bandmates Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kevin Olusola and Matt Sallee among the 175 guests.
While Hausdorff isn't a band member, the pair did meet while Pentatonix was on tour in 2018, and Maldonado says they simply “started off as friends and really got to know each other" before they started dating.
Fast forward six years, and the couple now share daughter Elliana, 21 months, and they're officially husband and wife.
“I think we've finally caught up to our relationship or our relationship has finally caught up to where we are,” says Hausdorff with a laugh. “And I think there's something special about that. Just being like, yes, ‘My wife!’ and this is our life, and this is our daughter, and that's it.”
Maldonado agrees, calling the ceremony an “official stamp” on what’s always been there.
While the couple originally thought they’d get married in California, they quickly pivoted to venues near Dallas, Texas, during planning, knowing that they wanted Maldonado’s 97-year-old Nana, who lives there locally, to be able to attend.
“And [D'Vine Grace] had a nice outdoor area — there's this beautiful stone patio where the reception is going to be,” says Hausdorff. “So it just kind of all came together. We were like, ‘This is it.’ "
The wedding party included seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen, all of whom wore coordinated looks in "midnight blue."
Hausdorff wore a black tux with a white vest and bow tie for a look he called “classic, but with a hint of something different,” and Maldonado wore two dresses, both by designer Kim Kassas.
The Grammy-winner described her looks as having a “Vivienne Westwood vibe” thanks to the use of structured corsets, while still including “beautiful lace and beautiful detail.”
Even daughter Elliana’s flower girl outfits were created by Kassas.
“Her little dress has some of the elements of my dress on it, and then I ended up getting her one that's a little bit more of a traditional flower girl dress for her to walk down in. So it's just going to be a little cute cupcake going down the aisle,” Maldonado says.
As for the food, incorporating their travel adventures was important to the couple, and they saw the menu as one of the perfect places to be able to do just that.
"We tried to add all our favorite things, little hints to our travels, and share that with all our favorite people, too," says Maldonado.
So, while the three main dishes included a beef option, a fish option and a veggie option, the couple added personal touches to the meals up by incorporating small nods to special places.
“The beef has a chimichurri seasoning that's kind of like Argentina or Brazil where we went on tour," explains Hausdorff, "and the salmon has feta and an orzo that's Greek, which is where we went in 2018.”

Just last year, in fact, the couple vacationed in Fiji — another location that they really wanted to honor on their wedding day.
“We had the best time, and they were so amazing to Elliana, and it is just an incredible resort and island,” says Hausdorff. “So we wanted to incorporate Fiji, and there was this band there. This trio of singers that are just incredible with beautiful voices. Such good people. So we're flying them out for cocktail hour.”
After the couple danced the night away during their reception (which was soundtracked by both a band and a DJ and later featured a fireworks display) they’re headed off on a two-week, globetrotting honeymoon.
They'll begin in Tahiti, followed by a trip to the Amalfi Coast by way of a layover in Tokyo (which happens to be where Hausdorff proposed).
“It’s one of our favorite places ever,” Maldonado says.
