Noah Hawley’s Production Company 26 Keys Taps Michael Garcia As President; Maddy Bilder Joins As Project Director

EXCLUSIVE: Noah Hawley has named Michael Garcia as President of 26 Keys, his Austin-based production banner. Hawley has additionally brought on Maddy Bilder as Project Director at the company. Garcia and Bilder join 26 Keys as Hawley continues to grow and build the company’s overall slate of film and television projects.

Garcia will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company. Working closely with Hawley and Garcia, Bilder will project manage the company’s film and television projects through development, script, prep and production phases. She will also oversee external projects and events for 26 Keys across Hollywood, Austin, and global filmmaking communities.

Garcia joins 26 Keys from Lucasfilm Ltd., where he was Vice President of Live Action Series. While at Lucasfilm Ltd., he was in charge of developing and producing Star Wars content for Disney+ as well as documentary films and series including serving as Co-Producer on the series Star Wars: Andor and Co-Executive Producer on the documentary series “Light & Magic” (which chronicled the history of visual effects and ILM). Prior to Lucasfilm, Garcia was Chief Creative Officer at Televisa USA and Vice President of Drama Series at HBO. While at Televisa USA, he oversaw all creative operations which produced, financed and distributed English-language television series. In addition, Garcia oversaw the joint venture between Televisa and Lionsgate TV to develop and produce programs for the U.S. market. While at HBO, Garcia was involved as an Executive on numerous drama series including The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, The Wire, Deadwood, Carnivale, Big Love and True Blood.

Bilder was previously Senior Producer of Film & Television Development at Texas Monthly Magazine where she managed the day-to-day department operations and collaborated on the development of many projects based on Texas Monthly journalism including Max’s Love & Death, the three-part docuseries How to Create a Sex Scandal and Netflix’s upcoming film, Hit Man. She also served as an Executive Producer on The Official Love & Death Podcast, which was a joint partnership between Texas Monthly Studio and HBO.

Upcoming projects from 26 Keys and Hawley is Alien, the highly-anticipated original FX television series based on the franchise. Currently in production, the expansive series will be set on Earth seventy years from the current day, before the events of the Alien films. Additional 26 Keys projects include Hawley’s Emmy-Award winning anthology series, Fargo, which the latest critically-acclaimed installment stars Juno Temple, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Jason Leigh, as well all three seasons of Hawley’s groundbreaking series, Legion.
