Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson is sending love to a family in need right now.

The Skyscraper star is remembering a mother — and fan — who was tragically killed, along with her 12-year-old daughter, on Thursday in a fiery freeway crash. Aileen Pizarro, 43, was driving on Interstate 805 in San Diego, Calif., when she and her daughter were struck by a wrong-way driver traveling at high speed. An 18-year-old YouTube star known as McSkillet was later identified as the driver; he also died at the scene.

Pizarro’s 19-year-old son, Angelo, later revealed that his mom was a huge fan of Johnson’s. He pleaded on Twitter for the actor to make a video message for his mother to be played at the funeral.

The tweet caught Johnson’s attention, thanks to the power of social media.

“Hey Angelo, Dwayne Johnson here,” the actor said in a video message later posted by Angelo. “Man, I’m sending you so much love and light and strength your way, from my family to yours. I just want to say thanks for reaching out man and I’m so sorry to hear about your sister and your mom and this tragic loss that you’re going through. If your mom could see me now, which I’m sure she can, I just want to thank her for all the love and for being such a big fan, so stay strong.”

Angelo shared the video so everyone could see how “amazing” the actor is.

The Rock replied by saying it was the least he could do in this heartbreaking circumstance.
