Meghan McCain says Gwyneth Paltrow's living situation with her husband 'sounds like rich people stuff'

The co-hosts of The View weighed in on actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s recent admission that she and her husband only live together part-time. Paltrow told The Sunday Times that her husband, producer Brad Falchuk, only spends four nights a week at her house, and the other three in his own home.

Co-host Sunny Hostin praised the actress for the arrangement. “I often think, ‘is Gwyneth Paltrow just kind of strange or is she a visionary?’ I don’t know, I’m sort of thinking maybe she’s a visionary,” she said.

Fellow panelist Meghan McCain disagreed, dismissing the unconventional setup. “It seems like rich people stuff,” she said. “What if you can’t afford two houses? Come on you guys.”

Whoopi Goldberg defended Paltrow. “I love it. I’ve done it. I don’t want anybody in my house,” she said. “You can come and cook, you can come and hang out, you can sleep that long, and then you gotta go home,” added Goldberg. “I don’t want your drawers on the bathroom floor!”

“You got your man about three days a week, then you got your space, you’re not sharing your bathroom with anybody, you’re not cleaning up drawers on the floor. It’s not bad!” said Hostin.

Viewers on Twitter were split on the topic, with some agreeing with Meghan that Paltrow’s unorthodox life choices are nothing but a pile of goop.

Others supported Paltrow, and sided with Whoopi and Sunny.
