For those who may assume that nail art is dead, they probably haven’t come across any of nail artist Mei Kawajiri’s insanely good designs. Better known as Nails by Mei on Instagram by her adoring fans, she truly knows how make art imitate real life, as evidenced by her oddly enticing recent raw-steak-inspired creation.

Kawajiri posted an image of plastic-wrapped clear-based nails with drawings of raw steak and grocery store price tags. In the caption, she also mentions that this is her favorite nail look. In less than 24 hours, her post received thousands of likes and sparked a ton of comments.

One person wrote, “This is absolutely incredible. So so good!” Another individual noted, “Always so creative.” Plenty of followers chimed in, saying this would be their next nail look. In response to one commenter, Kawajiri shared her inspiration behind this raw-steak mani along with the face savoring emoji: “I was just hungry.”

Aside from creating some of the sickest nail designs on the internet, Kawajiri is also an in-demand manicurist in the fashion industry. Everyone from Gigi and Bella Hadid to Travis Scott has enjoyed her creative talents. She even makes house calls for DJ and HBFIT founder Hannah Bronfman.
