2017 brought us weird beauty trends, from squiggle eyebrows, kitten-ear eyeliner, and lollipop lips. But one salon in Russia is dipping in with the creepiest nail art of all: eyeball manicures.

According to Buzzfeed, which first reported on the trend, the service is performed at Nail Sunny in Moscow. In a time-lapse Instagram video showing how the manicure is created, technicians drill a hole in an acrylic nail.

Next, a pair of hand-painted, movable eyeballs, complete with blinking lids, are fastened using a pin.

The eye is then meticulously adorned with black liner, glitter shadow, and mascara, with the mascara in both paint and fake lash form. Delicate eyebrows complete the look.

The mani uses products from the Beauty Desert Dusk Palette by popular beauty blogger Huda Kattan, whose take on the McDonald’s eyebrows trend went viral in September.

On Nail Sunny’s Instagram page, which boasts 1.3 million followers, some commented, “just appreciate the artistry and skill it took to create this!” and “It’s gone too far.” But most deemed it “creepy,” along with “weird,” and “Nightmare fuel.” See for yourself:
