The tea is hot — and so is the desert. It can be a lot to keep up with the live streams, the celebrity outfits, and the surprise performances, so we've rounded up some of the best moments from weekends one and two of Coachella 2024 below.

Doja Cat was the very definition of “the show must go on” during her weekend two set. Shortly after kicking off her headlining spot, someone forgot to hand the singer her mic back to sing “F*ck The Girls,” so what did she do? Improvise, of course.

ICYMI: Doja Cat underwent a major transformation during the opening songs of her Coachella sets, during which she momentarily handed her mic to her team. During weekend two, the mic took a couple of verses longer than usual to arrive, so the signer just gestured broadly at the crowd and decided to improvise by hyping them up while lipsyncing the opening chorus. Thankfully, the mic arrived just in time for verse one.

We have all been manifesting the concert debut of “Tummy Hurts(Remix)” since Coco Jones hopped on the Reneé Rapp ballad last November, and it finally arrived during weekend two of Coachella 2024.

While the duo had already performed the song during New Year's Rockin' Eve, they had never performed it at a concert setting until Coachella. Rapp, who was already accompanied on stage by her rumored girlfriend Towa Bird on the guitar, welcomed Jones onstage in the middle of the song for a short but sweet duet.

Imagine going so hard at performing that you break your foot and have to cut your Coachella set short. Well, you don't have to imagine because that's exactly what happened to Kid Cudi. While performing at the Sahara stage, Cudi, who joined the lineup as a surprise before weekend two, jumped from the stage to be closer to fans and injured his foot in the process.

“Hey guys, so I broke my foot today at the show,” Cudi wrote on X after his set. “Just [leaving] the hospital. Never broken a bone before so this is all a bit crazy. I wanna thank [you] all for [your] concerns and well wishes!! I love [y'all,] man. I heard [y'all] still [raging] when I was offstage. Made me smile big.”

Kevin Abstract, one of the founding members of the band Brockhampton, surprised fans during his Saturday set by bringing out Lil Nas X to perform a new song. The rapper joined Abstract on stage after being introduced to a crowd of cheers. The pair then performed a new collaboration called “Tennessee.”

“This is the first time I’ve ever publicly put out a song with the person I’m about to bring out,” Abstract said. “He means a lot to me, and he means a lot to the culture, and I’m very lucky to know him."

Grimes is having a good laugh about her Coachella weekend one mishap. The musician and DJ kicked off round two of her set Saturday night by poking fun at herself with a satirical “news” broadcast video that detailed her failed performance from weekend one. The “broadcast” showed angry tweets from fans while also showing fake images of her DJ equipment being “investigated."

Last weekend, Grimes experienced technical difficulties during her DJ set that led her to pause the performance and scream into the mic multiple times. She later apologized on X (formerly Twitter) and seemed to be taking it all in stride by coming back stronger for weekend two.

Lana Del Rey brought out Camila Cabello, Jon Batiste, and Jack Antonoff

In a shock to many fans, Lana Del Rey brought out Camila Cabello for weekend two while headlining Friday night. The pop star and former Fifth Harmony member came out with her long, bleach-blonde hair flowing behind her and performed her most recent single, “I LUV IT.”

In fan footage taken from the concert, Cabello had a major dance break while Del Rey did her own subtle moves in the background. “I mean, come on, pink palm trees, Miami and Camila? We're not not going to do that,” Del Rey said as Cabello exited the stage.

Mimicking weekend one, Del Rey then brought out Jon Batiste to perform “Candy Necklace” and Jack Antonoff for “Hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have – but I have it.”

Sabrina Carpenter has been known to change the outro lyrics of her song “Nonsense” while touring with Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour. On Friday night, she brought her ad-libbing powers to Coachella weekend two while performing her set.

Carpenter's outros are sometimes about whichever city she's in or are sexually suggestive. For Coachella, she went with the latter and made sure to make a direct reference to boyfriend Barry Keoghan and his infamous bathtub drinking scene in Saltburn.

“Made his knees so weak he had to spread mine/ He's drinking my bathwater like it's red wine/ Coachella see you back here when I headline.”

Sabrina Carpenter also brought out Nora Jones

Carpenter gave fans a special surprise as she brought out musician Nora Jones. According to multiple reports, Carpenter introduced the guest appearance by mentioning that she learned this song when she was only seven years old. That's when Jones began performing her song “Don't Know Why” on the piano as Carpenter duetted her.

Sabrina Carpenter also found time to take pics with everyone and their mothers

Sabrina Carpenter truly made the most of Coachella weekend two, linking up with seemingly everyone backstage. The “Espresso” star posted her Coachella recap on Instagram after the weekend two festivities ended — which you can see above — and it looks like she had plenty of time to backstage hop. Carpenter's dump included behind-the-scenes pics with fellow Friday performers Chappell Roan and Chlöe and also a very special snap with Victoria Mónet, who took to the stage on Sunday. (Judging by Mónet's outfit, the duo likely linked up on Friday at the Heineken House experience.)

DJ Snake brought out 50 Cent

Chlöe Bailey's incredible week two performance wouldn't be complete without an announcement. The singer teased her forthcoming album's title, Trouble in Paradise — along with two photos of herself in the desert.

Before Lana Del Rey's headlining set on the main stage, Peso Pluma came out on stage and gave a performance to remember with a whole laundry list of special guests. The musician welcomed Anitta to perform their hit “Bellakeo," which came out last year. He also had Eslabon Armado and Chencho Corleone on stage, along with rising stars Jasiel Nuñez and Ryan Castro.

One thing about J Balvin is he is going to commit to a theme. The cherry on top of his outer-space-inspired set during weekend 1 came to life with a little help from Will Smith, who joined the Colombian singer (and a bunch of aliens) on stage to cover “Men In Black,” a.k.a. the Men In Black theme song and his debut single.

After joining Lana Del Rey on stage on Friday, Eilish took over the Do LaB stage on Saturday to party with the crowd and also tease three unreleased tracks — namely "Lunch," "L'Amour de ma vie," and "Chihiro" — from her upcoming album Hit Me Hard And Soft.

Tems brought out Justin Bieber and Wizkid to perform “Essence”

During her Sunday set, Nigerian star Tems surprised everyone present at the Mojave stage (and everyone else tuning in from home) when she brought out not only Wizkid but also Justin Bieber to perform “Essence” during Coachella. This is the third time Bieber has been brought out as a guest performer during the festival, after joining Daniel Caesar in 2022 and Ariana Grande in 2019.

After being welcomed on stage by the original cast of The L Word, Rapp invited Kesha to perform her 2010 hit “TiK ToK” together, giving the song a crucial lyric change to sing: “Wake up in the morning like f*ck P. Diddy.”Rapp was also joined on stage by her rumored girlfriend, Towa Bird, who delighted the crowd with a guitar solo during “Tummy Hurts.”

Victoria Monét called to “stop the wars, stop the genocides” and announced “Alright” music video

Victoria Monét used her Coachella 2024 to seemingly demand a ceasefire. During her weekend one set, Monét utilized one of her interludes to say: “Stop the wars. Stop the hate. Stop the genocides. Stop motherf*cking hating.” She also took the chance to plug her own music, saying: “Stop asking for the ‘Alright’ music video, ‘cuz it’s on the way.”

The star kicked off his set with renditions of “Igor's Theme,” “Lemonhead,” and “WusYaName,” the latter featuring an unreleased verse, before bringing out Childish Gambino, A$AP Rocky, Charlie Wilson, and Kali Uchis to perform “Running Out of Time,” “Potato Salad” and “Who Dat Boy,” “EARFQUAKE,” and “See You Again,” respectively. Saturday was a full day of surprises and celebrity sightings — hello, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce! And the performances were no exception, including the explosive set from No Doubt.

The 90s band led by Gwen Stefani reunited for a special set during the music and arts festival and brought out Olivia Rodrigo to help sing their 2000 hit “Bathwater.” Rodrigo danced on stage to a cheering crowd while wearing a “I <3 ND” shirt and an updo that rivaled that of Stafani's. The two singers split the verses of the song and sang it loudly and proudly. At the end of the set, Stefani and Rodrigo hugged before she exited the stage.

LE SSERAFIM's debut Coachella performance was one for the books. The K-pop quintet performed live renditions of their songs “ANTIFRAGILE” and “FEARLESS” to kick off their setlist, and while the nerves were palpable at first, the group got into the groove by the time they welcomed Nile Rodgers on stage for “UNFORGIVEN.”

Before closing out the stage with a high-octane succession of “Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard’s wife,” “Perfect Night,” “Smart,” “EASY," and “Fire in the belly,” LE SSERAFIM debuted a brand new song, “1-800-Hot-N-Fun,” to the surprise of fans. The group rounded off the night by reuniting with KATSEYE backstage after serving as mentor briefly on The Debut: Dream Academy.

Ice Spice also debuted a new song during her Coachella debut

Fresh off announcing her upcoming acting debut, Ice Spice switched back to music for her Coachella debut. The Bronx native took to the Sahara stage during Saturday night and delighted the crowd with live renditions of her hits “Princess Diana” and “Think U the Shit (Fart)” as well as Taylor Swift collab “Karma” and PinkPantheress's “Boy's a liar Pt. 2.”

During her set, Ice Spice also debuted a new, still-unnamed song that samples Sean Paul's 2002 track “Gimme the Light.” Many believe the song is a snippet of a potential sophomore album, which Ice has been teasing for some time.

Lana Del Rey brought out Billie Eilish

Lana Del Rey closed out night one of Coachella with an ethereal performance on the main stage Friday night. She brought out some of her famous collaborators, superstar producer and musician Jack Antonoff as well as Jon Batiste. But her more surprising cameo came in the form of Billie Eilish.

Eilish strutted on stage to sit alongside Del Rey on a raised platform on stage to sing Eilish's 2016 hit “Ocean Eyes.” The pair duetted the single before going straight into Del Rey's 2012 song “Video Games.”

“That’s the voice of our generation, the voice of your generation, and I’m so fucking grateful she’s standing next to me right now singing my favorite song,” Del Rey said about Eilish. “This is the reason for half you bitches’ existence — including mine!” Eilish said in response. “Lana Del Rey, you guys, come on!”

Del Rey wore a sparkly blue cut-out dress, and her honey-blonde hair parted to the side. Eilish wore a beige button-up shirt and baggy jeans. After the entire set, closing out Del Rey also left the stage on the back of a motorcycle in true Lana fashion.

Sabrina Carpenter debuted her new song “Espresso” live with Barry Keoghan in the crowd

Sabrina Carpenter shimmered and shined — literally — on stage Friday during her sunset performance and Coachella debut. Wearing a sparkly white outfit, Carpenter performed her newest single, “Espresso,” which came out the same day as her performance.

“How would you guys feel about a new song that just came out?” Carpenter asked the cheering crowd. She then joked that she and her dancers could just “improv” the performance before breaking out into an obviously pre-planned routine.

In a video shared by a fan on X (formerly Twitter), Carpenter's rumored boyfriend, actor Barry Keoghan, was spotted filming her set and bopping along to the music like the good boyfriend he is.

Lil Uzi Vert gave an explosive performance on Friday night and hyped up their fans on the Coachella main stage ahead of Peso Pluma's set.

The rapper, who uses they/them pronouns, debuted merchandise with Uzi's face on it that said “Theminem," which is a clear spin on rapper Eminem. The rapper also gave an electric dancing performance by duck-walking and Vogue-ing on stage. The form of dance was popularized by the queer community in New York City's underground ballroom scene and has since exploded into mainstream drag and beyond. The crowd went wild as Lil Uzi Vert expertly fell to the ground during his dance number.

On Friday night, Shakira surprised fans during Bizarrap's set, coming on stage to perform with the Argentinian producer and DJ. The Colombian superstar came onto the stage about a half hour into the producer's set, entering behind Bizarrap wearing an orange and red ombre dress.

Shakira performed “La Fuerte” and her collaboration with Bizarrap “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53.” At one point, Shakira stopped singing and dancing to announce to fans that she would be going on tour later this year, calling it Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour after her latest album.

“Finally we’re going on tour — starting here, in November!” Shakira told the crowd. “Starting here, this November, in this city! Can’t wait!”

Peso Pluma surprised fans on Friday night by bringing out Becky G to perform on the main stage with him. The two musicians switched roles this year, as Becky G brought out Peso Pluma to her set last year.

This year, Peso Pluma and Becky G performed their song, “Chanel,” which was released in 2023. Peso Pluma also brought out Junior H and Arcángel to perform “No Son Klle” and the newly released “Peso Completo,” respectively.

Suki Waterhouse revealed her baby's gender on stage

Congratulations are in order (again) for Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson, who confirmed that they welcomed a baby girl during her Coachella 2024 stage.

Less than a month after news broke that the musician and model had given birth to her first child with Pattinson, Waterhouse took the stage at Coachella on Friday night and revealed that she had, in fact welcomed a girl.

“I don't know if some of you know, but I had some big life changes happen recently, some pretty big events have been going down,” Waterhouse said on stage while beaming. “I love amazing ladies and I've been very lucky to have my own little amazing lady and meet the love of my life.”

ATEEZ were definitely present during their Coachella debut on Friday night. Though competing with Lana Del Rey's headlining spot, the K-pop group managed to attract a crowd to the Sahara stage with a 10-song setlist full of rock-inspired live arrangements.

Starting with the trifecta of “Say My Name,” “HALA HALA,” and “Guerrilla,” and ending with crowd-favorites “Bouncy (K-Hot Chili Peppers)” and “Wonderland,” the South Korean octet gave festival goers a taste of their pirate lore while glaringly enjoying every second of it all.
