Here’s What We Need to Know About Sugar and Poppy’s Mints on B&B

For months, we’ve heard about Poppy’s mints. We have no idea what they’re made of, but we do know that those little things made Luna feel super happy, hallucinatory, and super regretful the next day. Meanwhile, Sugar was on Deacon’s mind. He used his trusty computer to come up with one very important answer in the April 23 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful.

From Jail Bird to Free as a Bird

Hey Steffy. Delusional Deacon (Sean Kanan) is not so delusional after all. Outside at the bar of Il Giardino, he used his computer to find out that Janet Webber, AKA Sugar (Kimberlin Brown) was released from prison a few months ago. So, now, his theory that he saw ten toes at the crematorium doesn’t seem so implausible.

It’s possible Sugar’s the one who died. But if she is, then where is Sheila (Kimberlin Brown)? Instead of being mad that his big love didn’t clue him into her plans or her reconnecting with Sugar, the man is even more worried now. Because he thinks that Sugar did something to Sheila, which is why she’s keeping her distance.

So, now, we have no idea who Steffy killed. Is the real Sheila alive and well and planning her next campaign against the Forresters? Did she somehow send Sugar to Steffy’s in her place? On the other hand, maybe Sheila is alive and unwell. Those texts between Sheila and Sugar weren’t the friendliest. Did Sugar get her revenge on Sheila somehow?

Poor Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). They simply want to swim in the ocean and be together as a family. And now this Sugar news will slam into them hard. They better brace themselves.

Popping Poppy’s Mints

Brooke (2024 Daytime Emmy Nominee Katherine Kelly Lang) finally knows about Poppy’s mints and what happened to Luna (Lisa Yamada) and Zende’s part in it. As neglectful as Poppy (Romy Park) was to leave those mints around long enough for her daughter to mistake them for her own, why do people accuse her of drugging Luna? She didn’t force-feed her daughter the pills. She definitely has a hand in what happened, but, she didn’t purposely drug Luna.

There are plenty of other things to blame Poppy for. One such thing is not telling Luna who her dad is. Another concerning issue is…what are these pills made of? As far as we know, Poppy has been taking them forever. Yet, she quit cold turkey (or so she has said) and we see no signs of a withdrawal. Not even an iota. How is that even possible? Shouldn’t she be at home experiencing withdrawals or is that not a necessary evil of these happy pills?

Consequences

One final question has to do with Zende’s fate. Brooke is understandably upset for RJ (Joshua Hoffman) and completely concerned for Luna. Yet RJ made her promise not to tell Ridge. How will they keep this from Ridge (2024 Daytime Emmy Nominee Thorsten Kaye)?

Ultimately, what will this mean for Zende (Delon de Metz)? Will life go on as usual with Zende, RJ, and Luna awkwardly working together on the Hope for the Future fashion line? Or will Zende sleeping with RJ’s girlfriend come back to bite him in the you-know-what? Nothing ever stays secret in the land of the Forresters. That is, except for Liam (2024 Daytime Emmy Nominee Scott Clifton) and Steffy’s kisses since Hope and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) first got together in Italy.
