Kendra Wilkinson says she's finalized her divorce with Hank Baskett: 'I gave it all I got'

Kendra Wilkinson has made no secret about the fact that she’s struggled with her split from former NFL player Hank Baskett, from the issues that led to their breakup to her concerns about dating again.

The Playboy bunny-turned-reality star shared another candid update Monday about her relationship status. She said that she’d signed her final paper in her breakup with Baskett, the father of Hank, 8, and 4-year-old Alijah.

Wilkinson’s declaration that she’s finalized her divorce follows a decades-long relationship with Baskett. Since the two met in 2008 and married the following year, they’ve had problems — often on camera — particularly over his career (he was cut from teams several times), her postpartum depression, and other issues. In 2014, it was reported that Baskett had an affair with a transgender model when his wife was eight months pregnant with their second child. When Wilkinson found out there was some truth to the story, she flushed her wedding ring down the toilet and had suicidal thoughts.

After that, the two went to therapy to try and save their union. Wilkinson sadly confirmed reports that the couple would divorce on April 6.

“I will forever love Hank and be open but for now we have chosen to go our own ways,” Wilkinson said in an Instagram post. “I’m beyond sad and heartbroken because i did believe in forever, that’s why i said yes but unfortunately too much fear has gotten in the way.” She added that there was “no hate.”

The split wasn’t always amicable, though. In June, Wilkinson live-tweeted an argument that she was having with Baskett. She accused Baskett of recording her during the argument — which she called her “trigger” — and blaming her for having an affair and for the demise of his football career. Wilkinson apologized to Baskett a day later — via Twitter — for being the reason his football career ended.

Since then, Wilkinson has been open about being ready to date and have sex again, although she didn’t put it exactly that way.

Wilkinson has reportedly found a new romance with Frankie Conti, a businessman she met at a golf charity game in July, according to E! News. A source described the relationship in late September as “very new and casual.”
