Internet detectives, and The Joe Budden Podcast, speculated about a rap civil war following the events of this past weekend. On Friday (March 22), Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Metro Boomin dissed Drake on the new We Don’t Trust You project. It appears Kanye West has picked his side in the feud, and his selection will not shock anyone at all.

Ye took to his Instagram stories and posted his 2016 record “No More Parties In LA” featuring K. Dot from The Life Of Pablo. For all fans know, the Chicago producer could have simply been vibing out to some of his older music, but the timing of it all seems fishy.

“Having the best producer on your side is an ultimate win,” one fan said. Some fans believe that West will call Lamar to be on Vultures 3. “Kendrick going to go on a feature run and appear on Vultures?” one fan asked.

If this is Kanye West indeed declaring the side opposite of Drake, it should not come as a shock. He and Drake have been at odds throughout most of the 6 God’s career, though they have collaborated frequently throughout that time. Their cold war reached a peak in 2018 when West produced Pusha T’s diss track “Infrared,” which infuriated him and led him to release “Duppy Freestyle” aimed at both rappers.

On the aforementioned We Don’t Trust You, Lamar dissed the Toronto rapper and J. Cole on “Like That.” He denounced the idea of a “Big 3,” saying it is just “Big Me.” He also referenced Drake and Cole’s October 2023 collaboration “First Person Shooter,” questioned the legitimacy of their friendship, and likened himself to Prince in saying he outlived Michael Jackson, whom Drake has often compared himself to.

Future also seemingly took shots at his longtime collaborator on the opening title track. “You a ni**a number one fan, dog/ Sneak dissin’, I don’t understand, dog/ Pillowtalkin’, actin’ like a fed, dog/ I don’t need another fake friend, dog/ Can’t be ’bout a h**, ’cause we sharin’, dog/ In you feelings, ni**a, why you playin’, dog?” he rapped.

The internet believed they identified the source of Drake and Future’s beef this past weekend. Photos of a woman named Diana circulated on social media, and people linked her to the song titled “Magic Don Juan (Princess Diana).” She spoke up in an Instagram live this week to clear the air.

“Nobody’s beefing over me,” she said. “I’m not that important, I’m just a regular girl. I’m just a regular person. It ain’t about me […] I don’t need to address or clear anything up because those who know, know, and that’s all that matters,” she said. “You know? People are going to believe what they want to believe. So, it doesn’t matter what I clear up.”

Diana also revealed that she has a boyfriend. “My ni**a doesn’t care,” she asserted. “He’s laughing at this. He literally don’t give a f**k. He’s not going nowhere. I don’t know who thought he was going somewhere.”
