JT Defends Lil Uzi Vert Getting His Vogue On During Coachella Performance

JT has come to Lil Uzi Vert’s defense after the rapper’s Coachella 2024 performance went viral for their dance moves. Last Friday (April 12), the Philadelphia native took the stage in Indio, Calif., to perform a medley of their catalog to festival-hopping fans.
The live-streamed performance featured the 29-year-old doing his best voguing moves, even ending the eight-counts with an applaudable death drop. Having fun exploring the dancing style, an element of LGBTQIA+ culture, drew a reaction from fans on social media as the clip went viral.
“Wait wait wait Lil Uzi was vogueing last night,” wrote one user. The post continued, “And he did the death drop! Now @ThegirlJT we need answers ma ma.”
The troll asked for a response from the “Sideways” rapper and while it was likely not the answer they anticipated, it was received.
“You actually need edges,” JT told the user. “Y’all obsession with someone you don’t have to deal with is spooky asf! What is it to you? Why do you need answers skinthead?”

The aforementioned back-and-forth is not the first time JT came to her partner’s defense over their on-stage choices and personal style. In October 2022, Lil Uzi Vert revealed a belly button ring, drawing critique from social media.
“Everytime MY ni**a do something he want to do y’all act amazed, that’s BEEN his aesthetic before me I guess this side more tuned in but let me tell y’all something he a black rockstar that does what he wants!” ranted the Miami native.

The couple has dated publicly since 2021, with Lil Uzi Vert buying JT a lavish Maserati last year for her 31st birthday. In 2022, the City Girls rapper gifted the Eternal Atake performer a luxury gift item as well.
“I ain’t gonna lie, my future baby mama JT, Jatavia Johnson, bought this motherf**ker for me,” detailed Lil Uzi Vert, describing a blinged-out bracelet. “I ain’t gonna lie. City Boy price. God damn $300.”
