Joy Behar isn’t a lesbian — people just think she’s one on TV.

Or at least one person she’s enamored with did.

The Emmy Award-winning host of “The View” revealed that French film star Catherine Deneuve mistook her for a member of the LGBTQ+ community during a past visit to the daytime chatfest.

On Wednesday’s episode of the “Behind the Table” podcast, Behar, 81, was asked which famous guests have made her feel particularly starstruck. That’s when she revealed that perhaps she took things a bit too far with Deneuve.

“She is the most beautiful thing you will ever see anywhere in this country, in the world,” Behar said. “She was here, and I was following her around. At one point she said to someone, ‘Is she a lesbian?’ and I said, ‘I am now.'”

The veteran comedienne married her longtime partner, middle school teacher Steve Janowitz, in a private ceremony on Aug. 11, 2011, in New York City. The couple dated for nearly 30 years before tying the knot.

Meanwhile, Deneuve — a Paris native internationally known for roles in classic films such as “Repulsion,” “Belle du Jour” and “Indochine” — has been married once and had a series of high profile love affairs. She’s rumored to have dated Burt Reynolds, Clint Eastwood, John Travolta and Roman Polanski.

The 80-year-old was last seen in the 2023 comedy “Bernadette,” in which she played the titular role of French politician and widow of the former president Jacques Chirac.
