  • Lola Glaudini claimed Johnny Depp verbally abused her on the set of "Blow."

  • Johnny Depp's representative said he "prioritizes good working relationships."

  • Glaudini made the claim on the "Powerful Truth Angels" podcast in January 2024.

Johnny Depp's representative said he "prioritizes good working relationships" after Lola Glaudini claimed he verbally abused her while filming "Blow."

Glaudini made the allegations in the January 2024 episode of "Powerful Truth Angels," claiming that the incident happened after she laughed during one of his takes.

Her comments about Depp resurfaced on March 14 after a clip from the podcast was posted to X.

She claimed Depp said: "Who the fuck do you think you are? Who the fuck do you think you are? Shut the fuck up. I'm out here, and I'm trying to fucking say my lines and you're fucking pulling focus. You fucking idiot. Oh, now, oh now it's not so funny? Now you can shut up? Now you can fucking shut the fuck up? The quiet that you are right now, that's how you fucking stay."

The "Criminal Minds" star said this was the first time she'd met Depp because she'd only starred in indie movies before landing the role of Rada in Ted Demme's 2001 movie.

"And I have the star who I have idolized, who I am so excited to work with, reamed me in my face," she said.

Glaudini added. "The only thing going through my head was, 'Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry.'"

A representative for Depp told Variety in a statement on Tuesday: "Johnny always prioritizes good working relationships with cast and crew and this recounting differs greatly from the recollection of other members on set at the time."

This isn't the first time such allegations have been made against Depp, as his ex-wife Amber Heard claimed he verbally and physically abused her during their marriage during a defamation trial in 2022.

The jury found both parties liable of defamation, although Depp was granted $10 million in compensatory damages, while Heard was given $2 million.

Samuel Sarkar, the sound technician on "Blow," told Variety in a statement: "As a sound person, you're constantly listening to what is going on on set, listening for noises, listening for chatter. In fact, specifically, I would listen to Johnny's audio to check for interference, both during rehearsals and during the take.

"I never heard anything like that — and that would have been a remarkable event."

Representatives for Johnny Depp and Lola Glaudini did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.
