Takashi Yamazaki's Godzilla Minus One is heading to Prime Video, as per the official Prime Video Japan X (formerly known as Twitter) account.

In a post made this morning, they said, "We have breaking news for you. We have breaking news for you. Japan's first 96th Academy Awards ®"Godzilla 1.0" won the Best Visual Effects award, All-you-can-watch exclusive distribution decided on May 3rd (Friday, holiday)" (as per the X translation)

The black and white edition of Godzilla Minus One will also hit Prime Video on the same day, as reported by IGN Japan.

Godzilla Minus One stormed the Japanese box office last year before going on to make $115.8 million worldwide and landing itself an Oscar for Best Achievement in Visual Effects at this year's Academy Awards.

It was a hit among audiences and critics alike, who rated it equally on Rotten Tomatoes at an impressive 98%.

Godzilla Minus One takes place in post-war Japan and follows the new crisis the country faces: a giant monster who is baptized in the horrific power of the atomic bomb.

Where Can I Watch Godzilla Minus One?

Audiences will finally be able to watch Godzilla Minus One from home starting May 3. But for now, it appears it will only be available on Prime Video in Japan.
