Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist Were All Smiles at “Bachelor” Finale 2 Weeks Before Split Announcement

The 'Golden Bachelor' couple, who announced their pending divorce on April 12, attended 'After the Final Rose' show on March 25, which saw Joey Graziadei find his happy ending with Kelsey Anderson

Two weeks before Golden Bachelor stars Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist announced their divorce, the couple appeared to be in good spirits as they attended The Bachelor's season 28 finale.

Turner, 72, and Nist, 70, attended the live taping on March 25 that saw Joey Graziadei find his happy ending with Kelsey Anderson. In social media posts shared to Instagram the day after, the former couple reunited with their Golden Bachelor costars and met fellow Bachelor Nation stars.

"It was so much fun getting to see everyone last night! I really loved watching Joey’s season," Nist captioned the carousel of photos, which featured selfies with season 28’s Maria Georgas and Rachel Nance. "What an impressive cast, all classy, smart, amazing people and such an overall great production. What a show it was!"

The financial services professional concluded by wishing Graziadei, 28, and Anderson, 25, “a life filled with so much joy, love and happiness.”

Turner expressed his love for Bachelor Nation with a group photo mixing alum from both shows, taken during Graziadei’s After the Final Rose ceremony.

“Reuniting with old dear friends and meeting new friends. What could be better than that,” the retired restaurateur wrote under the post.

On April 12, the Golden Bachelor couple revealed on Good Morning America that they were going their separate ways, only three months after their live, televised wedding.

“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we've looked closely at our situation, our living situation and so forth, and we've kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it's probably time for us to dissolve our marriage," Turner revealed in a joint interview with Nist.

At the time of their divorce filing, the pair were still living apart, with Turner in Indiana and Nist in New Jersey. The distance proved a factor in their decision to split, even though they claimed they were “100 percent committed to making it work.” Turner considered a move to New Jersey, and the two had looked at houses in South Carolina but “never got to the point” of finalizing a decision, according to Nist.

Despite the relationship not working out, both insisted they still love each other.

“There’s no doubt in my mind. I am still in love with her,” Turner told ABC News’ Juju Chang. “I root for her every day.”

Nist agreed, adding words of encouragement for those still looking for love in their 70s. “We tell everybody else to continue to look for love," she said.
