Gabrielle Union Puts Sultry Spin on Classic Little Black Dress for Living Beauty and Valentino Event

Gabrielle Union joined a bevy of guests for the Living Beauty spring luncheon and fundraiser with Valentino on Wednesday in Los Angeles. The organization partners with fashion brands to raise funds for Living Beauty’s programs and mission to uplift and empower women with cancer.

For the luncheon, Union put a sultry spin on the classic little black dress. The “Bring It On” star fashioned a strapless black minidress with subtle peplum waist detailing. The bodice of her dress also featured a geometric, crumb catcher neckline, giving the little black dress a contemporary twist.

Union completed her look with a pair of pointed-toe black heels and a layered gold chain necklace. Her hair was pulled back into a high ponytail in a wavy style. Union’s makeup featured bold eyes and a soft hue for her lips.

The actress, producer and author is the latest star to put their own signature spin on the little black dress trend. While attending a press conference for “Immaculate” in Mexico City on May 2, Sydney Sweeney fashioned a little black dress with hip exposures from Miu Miu’s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection.

Union’s appearance at the Living Beauty spring luncheon and fundraiser with Valentino comes after “The Idea of You” producer attended the 2024 Met Gala alongside her husband, Dwyane Wade. The stylish couple wore complementary looks, with Wade in a lilac Versace suit and Union in a Michael Kors gown.

Union’s dress featured a glittering ombré look, which started in a silver shade and transitioned to hues of green, with fish scale design. The sleeveless dress also featured a high neckline and train. She accessorized her look with jewelry courtesy of Tiffany & Co. Union’s 2024 Met Gala look was curated by stylist Thomas Christos Kikis, who’s collaborated with the star for more than five years.
