It's only been a few months since we bid adieu to Below Deck Mediterranean season 8. But before we know it, Captain Sandy will be back for yet another voyage on the hit Bravo series. And this time, we'll be getting a few blasts from the past.

Below Deck: Mediterranean season 9 debuts with a supersized premiere on June 3, 2024, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
Who is in the Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 crew?
Of course, the ship will be captained by Sandy Yawn, who returns for her eighth season of the show. She'll be joined by chief stewardess Aesha Scott. The fan favorite originally appeared on seasons 4 and 5 of Below Deck Med before transitioning to the chief stew role for the first two seasons of Below Deck Down Under. Fellow returnee Elena Dubaich will work underneath her as stewardess. Elena stepped in during two episodes of season 7 when Kyle Viljoen was injured.
Rounding out the interior are newcomers Bri Muller and chef Johnathan Shillingford. The exterior features bosun Iain Maclean and deckhands Joe Bradley, Nathan Gallager, and Gael Cameron.

For the first time in Below Deck Mediterranean history, Captain Sandy and crew will be in Athens, Greece for the charter season.
What do we know so far about Below Deck Mediterranean season 9?
According to a synopsis provided by Bravo, season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean will feature "eccentric guests, an abundance of late-night demands that require intervention and a never-before-seen mechanical issue that orders all hands on deck."
"Amidst a saga of delayed provisions, managing a complicated interior department and a medical emergency, Aesha strives to ensure the guests are treated to a five-star service experience," the press release continues. "Chef Jono, a self-taught culinary architect, quickly learns he has high expectations to fill to prove his culinary capabilities to the guests. Meanwhile, the deck crew faces its own hurdles and must learn that communication is key in order to successfully get through the season."
Will we see Captain Sandy's fiancee on Below Deck Mediterranean season 9?
Yes! In a first for the series, season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean will feature the debut appearance of Captain Sandy's partner, Leah Shafer. The captain had hinted at a cameo back in 2023, telling Us, "Obviously, we’re filming a TV show, so you don’t really see a lot of [my personal life]. But yes, just stay tuned. Maybe that’ll happen."
Not only will she be making an appearance, but it'll be a big one! That's because we know via the trailer below that this season will see Sandy proposing to Leah. After following their ups and downs, we can't wait to see how Sandy pops the question!
